About Empowered Eats
Here at Empowered Eats, we are passionate about helping you get back in control of your health, and feel at home in your own body again. We focus on IBS and food intolerances, as well as emotional eating and eating disorders. Our passion for these areas stems from seeing our clients struggle with their own eating patterns and choices, and coaching them through these issues to find peace with food again.
If you are struggling with IBS, we understand that it's not only embarrassing, it can interfere with your regular life. Some of our clients have even had to give up work because they were struggling so much with their bowel habits. Thankfully, after guiding them through the appropriate dietary interventions, many of our clients have found that they are able to go about a normal day without stressing about their bowel habits every 5 minutes.
Many of us turn to food to comfort ourselves in times of stress or other high emotions. This is often something we learnt in childhood and our teen years, and has been cemented as life became more stressful as adults. Unfortunately, this can contribute to a number of health conditions, including high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes. Not only that, but feeling that our eating habits are our of our control can add to our stress, leading to a cyclone of stress related eating. We know this is a real issue, and you want to get back in control of your food choices again, and manage your emotions in a healthier way. We can help guide you to a healthier you with nutrition coaching.
Eating disorders are distressing, not only for the individual struggling with the disorder, but also for the supporting family and friends. We work as part of your multidisciplinary team to help you and your loved ones get back to a normal healthy eating pattern. While it doesn't happen overnight, with our dietitians on your team, we can support you to overcome your disorder and get back to a normal eating pattern.
